So Wgtn Council have 600 free motorcycle parks for use. It is no secret that WCC are very pro cycle. Where the problem really arises here is that the free motorcycle parks are, in large part, in the wrong locations. This problem has become worse since the big Kiakoura earthquake. BRONZ is still working with WCC to help remedy the issue, but with all things Govt, it takes time. There is also the retail community that want more car parks as they "spend money in the shops" whereas motorcyclist don't. Or so the claim. Despite the loss of a few thousand car parks, there is still 600 motorcycle parks. I am sure BRONZ will continue to work on this.
